The Ridgeway

The Ridgeway is a trail that goes from Overton Hill to Ivinghoe Beacon in middle of southern England, to the west of London. It is designated a National Trail and is about 139km long and is the oldest trail in England, going on what is considered to be as mentioned the oldest road in Britain, which lets you follow in the footsteps of over 5000 years of human history in England. It passes through two areas of outstanding natural beauty (according to the brits), the North Wessex Downs and the Chiltern Hills. It is a perfect trail if you only have a week to your disposal and in the summer, early autumn, in 2017 I travelled to England to walk The Ridgeway. Here you will find my tale from it.
